The goal of this workshop is to support our people living with asthma. Key topics include:

• What is asthma, why it matters to Black people, triggers
• How to respond to someone having breathing difficulties
• How to recognize when a “episode” becomes an emergency requiring 911 or ER visit
• Emergency medications for asthma
• Asthma action plans and communication with doctors
• Herbal medicine to manage asthma
• (Where requested) COVID-19 prevention and tips
• Community care planning for asthma
• Environmental justice and asthma
